There were lots of shoppers, as Friday is the start of the weekend in Dubai, and the holy day of the week.
We had lunch in a food court, which was much like food courts all over the world really. You find it hard to believe you are actually in a foreign country, as English seems to be the main language spoken.
The main difference is the amount of men and women dressed in traditional clothing.
A taxi took us back to our motel, and a collapse into bed was the order of the day for me. The others took a ride to the Gold Souk. I was dissapointed to miss both it and the Dhow dinner cruise on the Dubai Creek, but I was just not able to go.
They described the Gold souk as bright, shiny and blingy. TRO thought it was like being back in Turkey with the sales pitches.
They all enjoyed the Dhow cruise and the dinner that went with it. All the dhow boats are lit up, and are very picturesque. Dubai by night was a sight to behold.
Sorry sorry you have not been well Bron, hope milder weather will help you feel better.
