Farewell Istanbul......we will return!

Farewell to Istanbul, with it's chaotic streets, crazy drivers constantly honking their horns, vendors constantly approaching you to buy their wares, and today, hot, humid weather.

The double trams, the small yellow taxis, buses and pedestrians all
compete for space on the road. Crossing the road becomes a matter of run where there is a space.

Our hotel, the Barcelona Saray has been great, the staff cannot do enough for you, the beds are good, and the suite we have been ungraded to twice is especially luxurious.....posh.....my mum would have called it. We could get used to posh ! For the first time in my life I have sent laundry out...a nice experience.
The men, dressed mainly in short sleeves shirts, and the women ranging from almost nude, showing cleavage, wearing short shorts, ladies in overcoats and scarves , through to burkas.

I am roasting a lot of the time in 3/4 pants and a blouse, I can't imagine how some of these ladies are not absolutely cooking, especially the ones in the full overcoats, who appear to have long pants, shoes and sox underneath.

FAREWELL INSTANBUL!!!

Posted whilst enjoying simit for breakfast from the dining room, Barcelona Saray Hotel, Istanbul.
