Long weekend in June

I have inherited twelve bags of knitting wool from my late sister Lyne. She was a knitter extraordinaire, and always had a big stash to go on with.

This is just a little of the stash. I have begun knitting with some of it, a scarf is finished, another on the way, and a jumper for Olivia. In the bags were some crocheted squares, the grandies staying the weekend were interested in learning to crochet.

They took to it so well, and Olivia was able to crochet and talk on the phone at the same time.

Gabe was making a rug for his bed.

Olivia made circles and chains.

This one is over five meters long, she was so keen she even took her work to church and crocheted there.

What a great way to spend a cold weekend, knitting, crocheting and snuggled up in front of a nice warm fire.
