Almost in Istanbul

-

After a bon voyage lunch, we boarded for the first nine hour leg of our journey. At Hong Kong, a typhoon was expected, so our Turkish Airlines flight to Istanbul was brought forward by one and a half hours, in order to miss the expected wild weather. This meant a huge rush through the terminal for security, and the issuing of new boarding passes. We discovered that we had been seated two rows apart, but that was easily remedied by the ever helpful staff.

A nice sunset through the windows of the plane.

We did miss the weather, and the flight was smooth.
We are now one hour from Istanbul, and looking forward to the next challenge of finding our transfer to the Barcelo Saray.

  1. So pleased to have you blogging again and that you are out and about. Glad you missed the bad weather on the flight and cutting an hour and a half out of it was a bonus even if it mean a hurry. Did you shop in the bazaar?
