Autumn colour

It's almost halfway through autumn, the days are lovely, and the nights have been getting chilly. One of the things I wanted at this new home was an autumn leaf tree, and after planting and losing three liquid ambers, I was thrilled to discover that the huge tree in the back yard is an ornamental pear. This is what it looks like right now. Isn't it a delight?

  1. I had one of those in a pot and lost it to the drought.........darn it.
I have liquid ambers coming up in the lawn where the council was meant to take one down and dig up the roots and since they will not believe me that the job is not done correctly I am just allowing the forest to grow in my nature strip. I shall be dead before they are big enough to cause damage and I thought I was so noble in allowing them to take it out......but now I have them again............for now at least.
