Dust storm in Castlemaine

We had a dust storm this afternoon...if you look very carefully you will see TRO on the ride-on mower int he midst of the dust.   A much tidier front lawn..weeds resulted.

Foundations are ready

This morning Kim the builder and his son came to break down our existing wall in readiness for the slab to be poured next week. It is very noisy, but they will be gone at 11.  It's now 10 past 11, and they are still here making lots of noise.

Hawaii - not quite FIVE-O

more like middle 60's, we had such fun in our rented Ford Mustang convertible. However, we girls were not to keen to have to top down whilst whizzing along at sixy miles an hour on the open highway....just a trifle blowy, leading to VERY BAD hair days.  Its a pity that the weather in Castlemaine is not more conducive to open topped cars, we could be very tempted to trade-in the new Kluger for one just like this.

After a long absence, and

at the urging of a very dear friend, I am revisiting my blog, and will try to post an entry at least weekly.

Today the winter vegetable garden was planted, seedlings of cabbage, cauliflower, leeks and onions.  As it was our watering day today, they all got a good drink tonight.

At long last our extension is well on the way, we have had the brickies here for last two days, and now we can visualise where our extended lounge room and new bedroom will be, its very exciting!
